Here are some important check points you may not have considered:
Make sure the lottery game you play has the backing of your government. Don't be tricked into playing some slick-looking game that isn't official - you'll never win.
Do not play "virtual" lotteries. By this I mean lotteries in which the numbers are computer generated. Stick to a good old-fashioned lottery game with numbered balls in a barrell.
Ensure the draw is live and continuous. That way there's no tampering with the result. This relates to the point above.
